Robert G. Wells
Age 73, of Navarre, passed away suddenly Monday, October 23, 2017. He was born October 3, 1944 in Mt. Vernon, Ohio to the late Richard and Lois Wells. He attended Canton South High School and then served in the U.S. Army from 1962 to 1965. He retired from Ameritech with 30 years of service and was most recently employed by Between the Lines and escorted oversized loads. He enjoyed classic cars, his Honda motorcycle and TV Westerns. He was a member of Fohl Memorial United Methodist Church in Navarre. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Patricia Ann; his in-laws, Roy and Dorothy Applegarth; sister-in-law, Vicky Robbins. He is survived by his wife of 51 years and 3 months, Sheila; one son, Greg Wells; one daughter, Amy (Tom) Leatherman; three grandsons, Russell (Nicole) Fink, Trent and Jace Leatherman; three granddaughters, Jessica (Kevin) Baer, Sidney and Bella Leatherman; great-grandson, Elliot Fink and a second great-grandchild which is due next May; one sister, Janet (Carl) Dazey; nephews, Mike (Ramona) Applegarth and Chris Dazey; one niece, Lynette (Scott) Burnside. A Celebration of Life will be conducted Friday October 27, 2017 at 2:00pm in Fohl Memorial United Methodist Church. Family and friends will be received after the services in Fohl’s Nydegger Hall for fellowship and food.
