Yula H. McCarty (J.R.)
Age 63, of Canton passed away Sunday December 1st, 2013 in his home surrounded by his family after an extended illness. Born December 22, 1949 in Goodwill, WVa. to the late Yula H. McCarty Sr. and Maxine McCarty Creger. He was retired from Republic Storage Systems. Preceded in death by one daughter, Tonya McCarty and one sister, Barbara Faye McCarty. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Debra N. (Blake) McCarty; one son, David (Rebecca) McCarty; one daughter, Sheila (Larry) Battering; eight grandchildren, Devin "Do Boy", David "Lil D", Jacob, Tyler "Scooter", Shane, Dakota, Vanessa "Baby Girl" and Ronald; two sisters, Brenda Comer and Denise (Timothy) Rawson; special nephews, Ken Ranson, J.C. Ranson, Robert McCarty and Michael; several other nieces and nephews; also special thanks to Roger Lucas and Georgetta Knopp for their support during this difficult time. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013 at 7:00 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave with Rev Fred Webb officiating. Interment in Tyler Mountain Memorial Gardens, Cross Lanes, WVa. Friends may call two hours prior to the service on Wednesday from 5-7 pm.
