Willis “Willie” “Tex” Krause
Age 83, of East Canton, passed away Tuesday November 24, 2015 in St. Joseph Care Center following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born March 17, 1932 in Mineral Ridge, OH to the late Christopher and Ruth (Stoffer) Krause. Willis was an East Canton resident or the past 36 years and was a Korean War Navy veteran. He retired from The Timken Company in 1994 after 38 years of service. He was a member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church where he was a member of the Willing Workers Sunday school class. In addition his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Herbert and Dolores Krause, Glenn and Anne Krause. Willis is survived by his wife, Loretta M. (Rice) to whom he was married 55 years; three children and their spouses, Laura and Robert Ball, Dale Krause, Beth and Mike Clapper; four grandchildren, Tara, Victoria, Jason and Chris; three great-grandchildren, Tristan, Rowan and Braeden. Funeral services will be Saturday November 28, 2015 at 1:00pm in Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church with Pastor Tim Monteith officiating. Burial will be in Mapleton Cemetery.
