William T. Walker
William T. Walker, age 69, of Canton, died Thursday July 20, 2006 in Mercy Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born June 15, 1937 in Hartville, OH, to the late Kenneth and Gertrude J. (Brison) Walker. William was a life resident of the Stark County area, retiring from the U.S. Air Force in 1974, with the rank of Master Sergeant, after 20 years of service. Member of Center Church of the Brethren where he served on the Cemetery Board and in many other committees at the church. He is also preceded in death by one sister, Donna Sheatzley. He is survived by his wife, Shirley A. (Waers) to whom he was married 49 years; three sons and daughters-in-law, William T. Jr. and Susan Walker of Hudsonville, MI, Steven and Deborah Walker of Ostrander, OH, Michael and Cathy Walker of Little Rock, AR; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly and Shaun Brown, Carolyn and James Parker all of Massillon; 13 grandchildren and one great granddaughter; one brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Jammie Walker of Port Isabel, TX; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Mary Lou Machamer of Hartville, Linda and Terry Koval of Mauldin, SC. Funeral services will be Monday July 24, 2006 at 11:00am in Center Church of the Brethren with Pastor Andrew Hamilton officiating. Interment in Center Church Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday 2-4pm in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton and one hour before services at the church (10-11am) on Monday.
