The family is appreciative of his many health care providers including Dr. John Paulowski, Dr. Dalson Seibert and their staffs as well as special caregivers Ellen and Ruth.
Bill graduated from Canton McKinley HS in 1943 and his professional career included employment as a purchasing agent with Canton Containers, Bison Corporation, and Ohio Poly. He retired in 1989 from Wingfoot Films, a plastics manufacturing firm he helped establish in Bowling Green, KY. During World War II, he served in the Army Air Corps on a B-24 Liberator with the 389th Bomber Group. His meritorious service earned him the Silver Star for gallantry in action during a heavy bombardment mission in the European theater. Bill remained a member of the VFW Post 3747 and the Pike Township Historical Society.
Those who knew Bill will remember his quick wit, joke telling, and perennial but quickly fading optimism for the Cleveland Indians. He loved classical music, airplanes, trains, and crossword puzzles. He created countless beautiful projects from his basement workshop, especially woodworking.
