William E. Schumann
William E. Schumann, age 87, of East Canton, passed away Monday January 14, 2008 in Mercy Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born September 15, 1920 in Kent, OH, to the late William and Hazel (Shields) Schumann. William was an East Canton resident for the past 25 years, prior to which he had resided in Kent. He was a 1939 graduate of Theodore Roosevelt High School and a WWII Army veteran. He retired from the Chrysler Motor Company in 1979 after 25 years of service and was the former owner/operator of Fly Fish Kit Co., Inc., Kent, OH. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Robert Schumann; two sisters, Janice Stoerkl and Joanne Moran. He is survived by his wife, Delores E. (Gobeli) to whom he was married 24 ½ years; six children and their spouses, Judy and Dave Jones of Littleton, CO, Bill Schumann of Hudson, OH, Tom and Linda Schumann of Jefferson City, TN, Susie Misock of Cheyenne, WY, Jeff Hane and his fiancée, Shannon of Campbell, CA, Nikki and Cory Williams of Carrollton; 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be Friday January 18, 2008 at 1:00pm in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Pastor Randy Shafer officiating.
