William J. Lunsford

Age 86, of Canton passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018 in Aultman Compassionate Care Center following an extended illness. Born January 23, 1932 in Howenstine, Ohio to the late Manuel and Margaret (Reed) Lunsford. He was a life resident of the Canton area and a U.S. Air Force Korean War veteran where he served with the Strategic Air Command. Bill retired from the United States Postal Service in 1994 with 42 years of service. He attended Rivertree Jackson Christian Church.  Bill lived a life that was truly an example of our Heavenly Father’s love in the way he selflessly cared for his wife, Becky and his children and grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca “Becky” Lunsford in 2006; one son, Tim Deremer; one brother, Earl Lunsford; one sister, Louise Cloer. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Tracy Lunsford; one daughter, Beth Kinkaid; four grandchildren, Steven and Matthew Lunsford, Danielle and Zachary Kinkaid; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Friday, March 9, 2018 at 10:00 am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave with Pastor Andrew Berg officiating. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday for 6 – 8 pm. Memorial donations may be made to Aultman Hospice Program.
