William D. Kelly, age 80, of East Canton, died Thursday April 27, 2006 in his home following an extended illness. He was born July 26, 1925 in Kilgore, OH. to the late William S. and Sarah S. (Smith) Kelly. He was an East Canton resident since 1955, retiring from the Ford Motor Co. in 1987 after 39 years of service. Member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church where he served as a Lay Minister, Sunday School Teacher for 20 years and was active in the Men's Group. William enjoyed bowling, hunting, raising Merrybell Beagles and fishing on Lake Erie. He was a WWII Navy veteran. He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Gaylon Gene Kelly in 1986. Survived by his wife, Minnie Mae (Gardiner) to whom he was married 57 years; one daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and John Pfalzgraf of East Canton; one granddaughter, Amy Pfalzgraf of Columbus; one grandson, Adam Pfalzgraf of East Canton. Funeral services will be Monday, May 1, 2006 at 10:00am in Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Rev. Richard K. Thewlis officiating. Interment in Kilgore Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday 6-8pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Aultman Hospice at 2821 Woodlawn NW, Canton, OH 44708.
