William G. “Willie” Gillis

Age 65, of Canton, passed away Tuesday April 24, 2018 in Aultman Hospital. He was born June 26, 1952 in Akron to the late Paul and Margaret (Lowman) Gillis. Willie retired from Ironrock Capital Inc. after 12 years of service. He is preceded in death by three brothers, Jerry and Art Oblisk and Norman Gillis. Willie is survived by his wife, Mary M. (Rucker) to whom he was married 44 years; two children, Michael (Lisa) Gillis and Mindy and (Jesse) Bergmann; two grandchildren, Anthony Pierson and Brooke Bergmann; two great-grandchildren, A.J. and Ashton Pierson; three brothers, Bud (Mary) Oblisk, Dale (Diane) Gillis and Carl (Vera) Gillis; one sister, Margie Gesch. Funeral services will be Friday April 27, 2018 at 1:00pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Steve Kimbrel officiating. Burial will be in Melscheimer Cemetery.
