William E. Dearnbarger
Age 96, of Navarre died Sunday, December 15, 2013 in Mercy Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born March 21, 1917 in Zanesville, Ohio and was a U.S. Army WWII veteran. William was a Navarre resident for the past 30 years and retired from the Ford Motor Company in 1980. He was a member of the Church of the Covenant, Canton and had been a member of the former Fairmont Park United Presbyterian Church where he had served as an elder, deacon and was a member of the choir. Preceded in death by his father, George Dearnbarger; mother and step-father, Alma and Sam Rucker; his wife, Lelia Dearnbarger in 2011; one son, William L. Dearnbarger; one brother, Ernest Rucker. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Mark and DeDe Dearnbarger of Canton; one daughter and son-in-law, Nita and Gerald Riemenschneider of Canton; three grandchildren, John Riemenschneider of East Canton, Lisa (Thal) Makroglou of Parma, Kallen Dearnbarger of Canton; one great grandchild, Zafiro Makroglou; two brothers and sister-in-law, Mike and Louise Rucker of Stockport, OH., Ralph and Kathleen Rucker of Newark, OH; one sister, Opal Petry of Navarre; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013 at 11:00 am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. with Dr. Rev. William Watt officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Thursday from 10:00 – 11:00 am.
