William L. Burk
William L. Burk, age 76, of Canton, died Wednesday August 22, 2007 in Affinity Medical Center, Doctors Campus, following an extended illness. He was born December 23, 1930 in Brent, PA. to the late Lawrence and Alice (Montgomery) Burk. He was a Marine Corps veteran having served during the Korean War. He was a Canton area resident since 1949, retiring from The Hoover Company in 1985. William was a member of AARP and Plus or Minus 60. In addition to his parents, William is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy (Shaffer) in 1992; four brothers and three sisters. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, William "Larry" and Cheryl Burk of Canton; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren; two sisters, Violet "Dolly" (Louis) Campbell of Mercer, PA, Betty Grim of Grove City, PA; three brothers, Burton Burk of Volant, PA, Lawrence "Sonny" Burk of Grove City, PA, Frank Burk of Mercer, PA. Graveside services will be Friday August 24, 2007 at 10:00am in the mausoleum at North Lawn Cemetery with John Ahmed officiating. The Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
