Willard P. Shumaker
Age 96, of Louisville, Ohio died Wednesday, March 9, 2016 in Altercare of Louisville. Born June 14, 1919 in Scalplevel, PA to the late Samuel and Ethel (King) Shumaker. Willard was a U.S. Navy WWII veteran. He was a Louisville resident since 1954 and retired from Diebold with more than 30 years of service. Preceded in death by one daughter, Suzanne Shumaker; three sisters and four brothers. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Erma (Heitchew) Shumaker; one son, DeSales Shumaker of Louisville; one daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca “Becky” Boyd of Louisville; three grandchildren, Roger, Cliff and JR; eight great grandchildren; one brother, Vernon Spangler of Pennsylvania. All service will be private. Interment in Patriot Order Sons of America Cemetery in Hooversville, PA. Memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
