Willard D. Brechbuhler
Age 83, of Canton died Sunday, June 18, 2017 in the Pines Nursing Home following an extended illness. Born December 17, 1933 in Canton to the late Sherman and Ilo Pearl (Tucker) Brechbuhler. He was a life resident of Canton and a 1952 graduate of Canton South High School. Willard was a U.S. Navy Korean War veteran. He retired from Ohio Power/AEP with 40 years of service. He was a member of North Industry United Methodist Church and the Canton South AARP. Willard was an avid outdoorsman and a former youth sports coach. Preceded in death by one son, Kevin Brechbuhler; two sisters, Vivian Dennis and Virginia Goody; three brothers, William, Dale and Orval Brechbuhler. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Donna Jeanne (Steiner) Brechbuhler; one son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Vickie Brechbuhler; two grandchildren, Chad and Elise Brechbuhler; one sister, Wanda Mulheim; a sister-in-law, Annie Brechbuhler; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 11:00 am in North Industry United Methodist church, 155 Faircrest St SW, Canton, OH. 44706, with Pastor Jeri K. Johnson officiating. Interment in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church from 10:00-11:00am.
