Wilbur J. Krantz
Wilbur J. Krantz, age 74, of Canton, died Friday August 5, 2005 in Altercare of Navarre, following an extended illness. Son of the late John A. and Anna (Christman) Krantz. He was a life resident of Canton Township and a Korean War Veteran. He retired from Ohio Power Company after 42 years of service and retired from the U.S. Army 350th Evacuation Hospital Reserve Unit. Member of North Industry Christian Church, National, State and Pomona Granges and was a 50 year member of Pike Grange. He was also a member of the Stark County Grange Chorus and Ohio Power Retirees. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother and one sister. Survived by his wife, Cora (Kenney) Krantz to whom he was married 52 years; three daughters and sons-in-law, Norma and Dennis Smith of Richville, Beth and Drew Patton of Ashland, Lucy and Mike McFee of Canton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Doug and Shelly Krantz of North Canton, Greg and Sandra Krantz of Canton; 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 9, 2005 at 1:00pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave with Stephen Kimbrel and Jeff Franks officiating. Interment with military honors in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Monday 6-8pm in the funeral home with grange services at 5:30pm and one hour before services on Tuesday (12:00-1:00pm).
