Wilbert W. Farnsworth Jr.
Wilbert W. Farnsworth Jr., age 75, of East Canton, died Monday, January 16, 2006 in his home following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born; April 16, 1930 in Marietta, OH to the late Wilbert W. and Anna Gertrude (Hooper) Farnsworth Sr. He was an East Canton resident for the past 41 years and had served in the National Guard with the 987th Armored Division. He retired from Mideast Trucking in 1992 after 15 years of service and was a member of Maplebrook Church of God where he had served as an usher. Wilbert was an avid stock car driver having raced at Canton Motor Speedway for 16 years. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his wife, Barbara K. (Mason) to whom he was married 23 years; two sons, Rex Farnsworth and his fiancee, Deandra Patterson, Casey Farnsworth; three children, Patty, Pamela and Wilbert Farnsworth III; one granddaughter, Katelyn Digiacomo; numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren; three brothers, Dale (Joanne), Carl, Bobby (Viola) Farnsworth; two sisters, Katie Ross and Shirley Gelespie. Funeral services will be Thursday at 10:00am in Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Pastor Mike Tyree officiating. Interment in Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call Wednesday 6-8pm in the funeral home.
