Walter M. (Tom) Ramey Jr. "Short Boss"
Age 77, of East Canton died Friday, October 10, 2014 in his home following an extended illness. Born September 28, 1937 in Harlan, KY to the late Walter W. and Mable L. (Gouge) Ramey. Walter was an East Canton resident since 1967 and was retired from the Stark Metropolitan Housing Authority in 1992 with 33 years of service. He was a member of the Louisville Fraternal Order of Eagles. Preceded in death by one brother, Frank Ramey and one sister, Flo Lyons. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Judy A. (Barth) Ramey; three sons and daughters-in-law, Walt and Tina Ramey of Carrollton, James and Sherri Ramey of Carrollton, William and Loretta Ramey of Dundee; one daughter and son-in-law, Barb and Steve Driver of East Canton; seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one brother, Gene Ramey of Coshocton. A Celebration of Life service will be Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014 at 6:00 pm in the Foltz Community Center, 224 N. Wood Street, East Canton, OH. 44730, with Rev Snow officiating. A fellowship time will follow the service until 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Aultman Hospice program at 2821 Woodlawn Ave NE, Canton, OH. 44708.
