Walter H. "Huck" Cleveland, Jr.
Age 83, of East Canton died Sunday, December 12, 2010 in Oakhill Manor following an extended illness. Born September 5, 1927 in Carmi, IL. to the late Walter H., Sr. and Lily Mae (Gammon) Cleveland. He was an East Canton resident since 1964 and a U.S. Army WWII veteran where he attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was formerly employed by Otex Inc. as a field superintendent and formerly served as a magistrate in Carmi, IL. Huck was a member of the VFW and American Legion in Carmi, IL. He is preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Lynne L. (Cholley) Cleveland; one loving daughter and fiancée, Daphne M. Cleveland and Tom Wilt of Canton; one grandson, Austin Wilt of Canton; two brothers-in-law and spouse, Ronald Cholley of East Canton, Denny and Peggy Cholley of Florida; numerous nieces and nephews; special nephew, Douglas Skeen of Virginia; special friend, Cynthia Repasky of East Canton. The family would like to thank the staff at Oakhill Manor and Inhouse Hospice for their wonderful care. Funeral services will be Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010 at 1:00 pm in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Chaplain Pamela Przybylski officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call Wednesday from 6-8 pm.
