Vivian M. Himes
Age 89, of North Canton and formerly of East Canton, passed away unexpectedly Sunday November 19, 2017 in her home. She was born April 11, 1928 in Canton to the late John and Anna (Thelman) Johnson. Vivian was a graduate of McKinley High School and formerly employed by Leatherman Seed Company for many years. She was a member of Canton Grace Brethren Church where she was active with the Women of Grace and a former choir member. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Himes in 2012; two sisters, Verna Zimmerman and Violet Morehart. Vivian is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and David Bruce; one son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Jill Himes; three grandchildren, Brian Bruce, Tim Bruce and Yuri Himes; one sister, Velma Gelal; and many wonderful friends at the Waterford. Funeral services will be Wednesday November 22, 2017 at 2:00pm in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Pastor Joseph Cosentino officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Family and friends will be received one hour before services on Wednesday (1-2pm). In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Canton Grace Brethren Church at 6283 Market Ave N., Canton, OH 44720.
