Virginia L. Toalston
Age 93, of Louisville, passed away Monday March 26, 2018 in Orrville Pointe, Orrville, OH. She was born October 6, 1924 in East Canton to the late Murray A. and Mary E. (Knorr) Clapper. Virginia was a 1942 graduate of East Canton High School and had resided in Louisville since 1968. She was a member of St. Paul’s Community Christian Church where she was active with the Women’s Guild, Mary Martha Circle, the choir and worked in the nursery for many years. Member of the Lowell D. Oberly American Legion Auxiliary Post #667 and had played the trombone in both the American Legion and High School bands. Preceded in death by one grandson, Joshua Wesley Toalston; two sisters, Annetta Powell and Rose Williams. She is survived by her husband, Cecil J. Toalston to whom she was married 63 years; two children, John (Ellen) Toalston of Orrville and Mary Summerfield of Alliance; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one sister, Margie Amstutz. Funeral services will be Friday March 30, 2018 at 11:00am in St. Paul’s Community Christian Church with Pastor Ed Dickerhoof officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery, Minerva. Friends and family may call Thursday 6-8pm in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton and one hour before services on Friday at the church (10-11am).
