Virginia R. Gallagher
A loving and devoted mother and grandmother passed away Friday, October 7, 2011 in Aultman Hospital following an extended illness. Born October 28, 1928 in Woodsfield, OH. to the late Milton and Anna (Jeffers) Stephen. She was a Canton resident since 1952 and retired from Wilson Rubber. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Canton. Virginia was an avid Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns fan. She will be missed by all. Preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence G. Gallagher in 1980; son-in-law, Bob Stubblefield; a great grandson, Brandon Fogle; five sisters and four brothers. Survived by five sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel and Diana Gallagher, Joseph Gallagher, Rick Gallagher, Tim Gallagher, Ted and Margaret Gallagher all of Canton; two daughters and son-in-law, Sharon Stubblefield, Becky and Bob Tucker all of Canton; 25 grandchildren; 51 great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph and Nancy Stephen of Canton; Clyde and Martha Stephen of Salem; one sister, Thelma Froelich of Barnesville, OH; numerous nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011 at 10:00 am in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Canton with Fr. Edward L. Beneleit as celebrant. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 5-8 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave.
