Verna M. Ferry Robbins
Age 94, of Canton died Sunday, April 14, 2013 in the Canton Christian Home following a brief illness. Born September 1, 1918 in Canton, OH. to the late Louis and Mary (Ash) DeMate. She was a life resident of Canton and formerly employed by Stark Income Tax Service. Verna was a member of the Canton Baptist Temple and Delta Chapter Order of Eastern Star. Preceded in death by her first husband, Morris "Pete" Ferry in 1989; second husband, Charles Robbins in 2012; three daughters, Jean Colaiacovo, Carol Bjelland, Arlene Baker; one granddaughter, Annette Smith. She is survived by one daughter, Shirley Berrong of Louisville; one son, Harry Ferry of Lake Mohawk; one step daughter and spouse, Betty and Michael Ford of North Canton; one step son, Robert Ferry of Nashville, TN; generations of grandchildren. It was Verna's wishes for cremation and there to be no services. Memorial donations may be made to the Canton Christian Home or Mercy Hospice.
