Velma Esther (Renner) Mottice
Age 88, of East Canton, passed away Friday August 3, 2012 in Aultman Hospital. She was born September 4, 1923 to the late Vincent and Anna Josephine (Ebin) Renner. Velma was a graduate of North Canton High School and during WWII was employed by the Hoover Company. She was formerly employed by the Sears Company and retired from the Stark County Court House. She was a member of the American Legion Post # 548 and enjoyed cross word puzzles, crocheting and picture puzzles. She loved to travel to Las Vegas, Tunica, Florida and cruises but her favorite destination was the Smokey Mountains. She always said she had a gasoline rear, if you asked she was ready to go. Velma was a special lady who left large footprints for her family to fill. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Wilmer P. Mottice in 1988. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Frosty and Bill Fladung; two grandchildren, Richard Bowers and his fiancé, Robin Aller, Michelle and Jeff Holland; two great-grandchildren, Richard Bowers Jr. and Amanda Holland; one great-great-granddaughter, Maddison Grace Bowers. Services will be Tuesday August 7, 2012 at 12:30pm in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton. Interment in Mapleton Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday (11-12:30pm) at the funeral home.
