V. Elaine Horger, age 63, of Louisville, passed away Saturday evening, October 1, 2005, following an extended illness. Born August 20, 1942, in Canton, OH, and was a life resident of the East Canton and Louisville areas. Elaine was the daughter of the late Velma (Clapper) Starkey. Employed for 38 years by People Merchants/Ameritrust/ATEK/Manatron, Inc. She would have celebrated her 36th wedding anniversary November 20th with her loving husband, James "Bob" Horger of the home. Together they enjoyed farming, golfing, traveling to NASCAR races and following their children and grandchildren during their extracurricular activities. Elaine is also survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Molly (Joe) Volpe of East Canton; son, Robert "Bob" Horger of North Canton; son and daughter-in-law, Michael (Jamie) Horger of Salem; eight grandchildren, Michael (Kate), Brandi and Ashley Volpe, Natalie, Rachel, Nicklaus and Chloe Horger; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Robinson of Toledo and Pat Heighton of Grove City, OH; brother-in-law and spouse John R. (Mary Lou) Horger of Louisville; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Laura Volpe. Our family has lost our wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. We wish to thank all those who have vared for our mother during her illness. Private funeral services will be Wednesday, October 5, 2005, in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Rev. Jenna Brown officiating. Friends may call Tuesday 6-8pm in the funeral home.
