Thomas H. Tinlin
Age 71, of Canton, passed away Saturday April 9, 2016 in his home following an extended illness. He was born April 29, 1944 in Canton to the late Howard and Catherine (Schneider) Tinlin. Thomas was a 1962 graduate of Canton South High School and a Vietnam Army Veteran. He retired from Stark County Sanitary Engineers Department after 30years of service. He was a member of St. Mary’s/St. Benedict Catholic Parish, Yesterday’s Classics Car Club and was an avid bowler. He is survived by his wife, Marlene P. (Merry) to whom he was married 46 years; two daughters, Dawn Tender, and her fiancé, Brian Wireman, Heather and Bobby Ferencik; seven grandchildren, Ty, Cheyenne, Elizabeth, Hannah, Peyton, Riley and Avery; two sisters, Patricia Koller, Janet and Richard Wenning; several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday April 13, 2016 at 11:00am in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Canton with Fr. Benson Okpara as celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
