Thomas W. Thompson
Age 70, of East Canton died Thursday, April 7, 2016 in his home following a brief illness. Born September 2, 1945 in Canton, Ohio to the late Herman and Florence (Lewis) Thompson. He was a life resident of the Canton area and a 1964 graduate of Canton South High School. He had served in the Army National Guard. Thomas retired from the Timken Company in 1994 with 30 years of service. He was also formerly employed with Brechbuhler Scales and had been a self-employed contractor. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Diana L. (Lightner) Thompson; five children and spouses, Nicole and Aaron Bowman, Tye and Tracy Thompson, Stephanie and Thomas Bonner, Todd and Crystal Leatherberry, Jerry and Kelly Workman; 11 grandchildren; one great granddaughter; one brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Janet Thompson; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 12:00 pm in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton. Friends may call two hours prior to the service on Saturday from 10am – 12 pm. Memorial donations may be made to Grace United Methodist Church.
