Thomas A. Schlatt
Age 56, of Canton died Wednesday, October 20, 2010 in his home following an extended illness. Born May 13, 1954 in Canton to Thomas J. and Verna Mae (Fitzgerald) Schlatt. He was a life resident of Canton and formerly employed by ASC Industries. Thomas loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He cherished his hunting friends and brother. He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas J. Schlatt. Survived by his wife of 27 years, Denise L. (Hanood) Schlatt; one daughter and son-in-law, Jena and Jason Richards of Canton; his mother, Verna Schlatt of Canton; one brother and sister-in-law, Kelly and Bonnie Schlatt of Canton; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Melody and Terry Barricklow of Flushing, OH, Crystal and Dave Slentz of Sherrodsville, Lynette Jovingo of Cadiz, Charlene and David Sibert of Canton; numerous nieces and nephews. A private family graveside service will take place in North Lawn Cemetery. There will be no public services. The family request no flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society or the Community Hospice Program.
