Thomas Maddox
Age 84, of Canton died Sunday, March 30, 2014 in McCrea Manor following a brief illness. Born April 13, 1929 in Springville, TN. to the late Thomas R. and Fayville I. (Lamb) Maddox. He was a Canton resident since 1945 and was a 1948 graduate of Canton Timken Vocational High School. Thomas was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran. He was a retired home builder and retired owner/operator of the former R&N Kitchen Mart. Thomas attended Otterbein United Methodist Church and was a member of the Antique Auto Car Club of America and the local chapter of the Veteran Car Club of America. Preceded in death by one sister, Billie Aukerman. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marilyn M. (Wharton) Maddox; four children and spouse, Tom and Donna Maddox of Michigan, Jill Hanna of Michigan, Tim Maddox of West Virginia, Joy Maddox of Colorado; three grandchildren, Justin (Jill) Maddox, Carrie Maddox and Andrew Hanna. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 11:00 am in Otterbein United Methodist Church, 6025 Shepler Church Rd. S.W., Navarre, OH. 44662, with Pastor James Zimmerman officiating. Interment in Eden Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 5-8 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church from 10 – 11 am. Memorial donations may be made to Otterbein United Methodist church or a charity of your choice.
