Thomas J. Adams Sr

Thomas J. Adams, Sr., age 79, passed away peacefully in his home, Saturday, October 15, 2005, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Louisa, Kentucky on July 23, 1926 to the late Cecil and Roberta Adams. Tom was an East Canton resident for the past 44 years and was a WWII Navy veteran. He was a member of the East Canton Church of God where he had served as an usher, and retired from J & L Steel in 1989. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Bonnie Harris; and a daughter-in-law, Joyce Adams. Tom is remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Ileen (Lutton) Adams to whom he was married 56 years; three sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Kathie Adams Jr., James and Linda Adams, Craig Adams; two daughters and sons-in-law; Patricia and Gary Mitchell, Becky and Kevin Cramer; 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; two brothers and a sister-in-law, James and Martha Adams, Kenneth Adams; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth and Carl Timmons, Jean and Mike Maloy. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at 11:00am in Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Pastor James L. Snyder officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call Tuesday 7-9pm and one hour before services on Wednesday (10:00-11:00am). In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to East Canton Church of God at 201 E. Nassau St., East Canton, OH 44730.
