Theresa A. Payne
Age 53, of Canton died Wednesday, January 2, 2013 in her home following an extended illness. She was born in Canton, OH. on August 29, 1959. She was employed as a phlebotomist for Mercy Medical Center and Aultman Hospital for 20 years and had been a consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics. Theresa had served as past president of Canton City Schools Local #161A, was an advocate for the Domestic Violence Project, was instrumental in leading teams to help at "ground zero" in New York City and had served as a missionary to Syria. Preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Guinaldo; one brother, Edward Guinaldo; one grandson, Christopher Clark. Survived by her husband of 35 years, James E. Payne; one daughter and son-in-law, Gina and Matthew Fox of Canton; one son and daughter-in-law, Craig and April Payne of Massillon; five grandchildren, Ryan, Dylan, Cody, Kyle and Aiden; one brother, Tony Guinaldo of Canton; her beloved service dog, Queenie. Funeral services will be Saturday, Jan 5, 2013 at 1:00 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. with Rev. Walter Arrington officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Friday from 5-8 pm. Memorial donations may be made to the family to help with expenses.
