Terry L. Murphy
Terry L. Murphy, age 59, of Canton, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday October 19, 2008 in Aultman Hospital. He was born September 8, 1949 in Canton to John Sharp and Jeanne F. (Rabb) Murphy. Terry was a life resident of the Canton area and a graduate of Canton South High School. He had attended Cincinnati Bible Seminary and Kent State University. Terry truly enjoyed umpiring girls softball and volleyball and had served on the board of the Stark County Girls Softball Association. He is preceded in death by his father, John Sharp Murphy; one son, Eric Murphy. He is survived by his wife, Julie A. (Bartchy) to whom he was married 29 years; one daughter and son-in-law, Tiffany and Brad Goodson of Canton; one son, Ian D. Murphy stationed with the U.S. Navy in Gulf Port, MS; three grandchildren, Emilee, Payton and Kaylynn Goodson; his mother, Jeanne Murphy of Canton; two brothers, John Murphy of N. Canton, Tim (Debi) Murphy of Canton. Friends may call Wednesday 5-7pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. In keeping with Terry's wishes cremation has taken place; there are no other public services. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Stark County Girls Softball Association c/o Grace Shanower at P.O. Box 106, Greentown, OH 44630.
