Ted R. Humphrey
Age 71 of East Canton passed away Monday September 20, 2021, in Aultman Hospital. He was born January 27, 1950, in Canton to the late Roger and Doris (Bailey) Humphrey. He was a 1968 graduate from Canton Lincoln High School. Ted proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a Vietnam Veteran. He retired from The Timken Company in 2003, after 30 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Sheryl K. (Smallwood); 4 children, Ted (Tiffany) Humphrey, Lisa Busby, Amy (Cindy) Cadle and Mandy (Nelson) Morales; 2 stepdaughters, Pamela Bittaker and Sheila Petree; 13 grandchildren Lilah, Savannah, Alexa, Olivia, Brandon, Chelsie (Jamie), Sophia, Maximo, Mack, Colin, Isaiah, Isaac, and Carter; 3 great-grandchildren Ethan, Kyleigh and Aiden; 2 brothers, Terry (Shirley) and Tom (JoAnn) Humphrey; 2 sisters, Pat Powell and Pam Gray; numerous nieces and nephews. Ted was an avid fisherman and enjoyed casting his reel with his good buddy Ron Johnson. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, traveling with his wife, working in his yard and spending time with his grandchildren. Friends and family will be received Sunday September 26, 2021, from 1-3pm in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton. At 3pm there will be a military presentation in his honor. A Celebration of Life will be held at the East Canton Village Park immediately after. The family suggests facial coverings and social distancing be observed. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Ted's memory to his favorite charity, St. Jude Children’s Hospital at www.stjudes.org.
