Syble Sue Welch
Age 89, of Canton died Thursday, December 22, 2011 in the Legends Care Center. She was born July 30, 1922 in Christian County, KY. to the late Walter and Dovie (Hurt) Meacham. Syble was a Canton resident most of her life and retired from Canton Local Schools. She was a member of the Canton Baptist Temple. Preceded in death by her husband, George M. Welch Jr. in 2002; a sister, Dorothy Gurgle and a brother, Adrian Meacham. Survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Wyckliffe Howland of Canton; one son and daughter-in-law, George M. Welch III and Myong-Suk Bonner of Philadelphia, PA; four grandchildren and spouse, Amanda Howland, Wyatt Howland, Michael and Christina Welch, Valerie Bonner; three great grandchildren, Jared, Tessa and Payton; a sister-in-law and next door neighbor, Alma Welch; a nephew, Gary Meacham and a niece, Jeanne Lynn Elliott. A memorial service will take place at a later date.
