Susan K. Reed

Age 56, of Louisville, passed away unexpectedly Monday June 25, 2018 in her home. She was born February 8, 1962 in Canton to the late Donald and Mary J. (Nimon) Reed. Susan was a 1980 graduate of East Canton High School and a graduate of Kent State University. She retired from the Stark County Department of Human Services in 2011 after 30 years of service. She was an active member of New Pointe Community Church and formerly was a member of the Stark County Sherriff Department Explorers program. Susan is survived by two sisters, Deborah Shiplett and Darlie (Joe) Owens; one brother, Randy Reed (Jay Anderson); two nephews, Matthew (Christy) Owens and Jeffery (Anny) Owens; one niece, Tanya Shiplett; one step-niece, Kaitlin Anderson; and her beloved canine companion, Dunne. A memorial service will be Friday June 29, 2018 at 3:00pm in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton. Friends will be received two hours before services on Friday 1-3pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Stark County Humane Society at 5100 Peach St NE, Louisville, OH 44641 or the Stark County Sherriff Department K-9 Division at Stark County Treasurer,4500 Atlantic Blvd, Canton, OH 44705, denote for K-9.
