Stewart G. Bellamy
Stewart G. Bellamy, age 87, of East Canton, died Monday May 15, 2006 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Stewart was born January 24, 1919, in East Canton, to the late Charles and Charlotte (Shearer) Bellamy. He was a life resident of East Canton and a life long farmer, farming the family farm where he was born. Formerly employed by Sherer Electric for 20 years as a repairman and was a self-employed refrigeration repairman for many years. Life member of Wildwood Chapel Church, and was an avid pilot for more than 40 years. He was an active member of Minerva Flying Association for 40 years and the Flying Farmers Association. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by an infant brother, Richard Nevin Bellamy; one daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Bellamy. He is survived by his wife, Gladys M. (Hartline) to whom he was married 67 years; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Richard "Gayle" Bellamy, Jim and Sandy Bellamy all of East Canton; one granddaughter, Vicki and her husband, Bill Lloyd of East Canton; one grandson, Steve and his wife, Chris Bellamy of East Canton; three great grandchildren, Jacob, Joseph and Matthew Bellamy. Funeral services will be Friday May 19, 2006 at 11:00am in Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Pastor Timothy J. Prince officiating. Interment in Mapleton Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday 6-8pm and one hour before services on Friday (10-11am).
