Stephen R. Poole
Age 64, of East Canton, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday December 5, 2017 in Aultman Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 14, 1953 in Frankfort, IL to the late Charles “Buck” and Dortha (Harris) Poole. Steve, lovingly known as “Papa”, was a 1972 graduate of Marlington High School where he excelled in Football, Basketball and was a state qualifier in Track. He was employed by Magnetech Industrial Service for 30 years. He was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, He is preceded in death by one nephew, Ross. Papa Steve is survived by his wife, Becky A. (Bole) Poole to whom he was married 29 years; three daughters, Billi (Ryan) Fete, Bobbi (Eric) Budinski and Tommi (Jeff) Floyd; seven grandchildren, Nik, Charli, Eric, MacKenzie, Morgan, Riley and Audrey; four brothers, Mike, Jeff, Keith and Brad (Melanie) Poole; two sisters, Marty Poole and Kim Stanton; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Friday December 8, 2017 at 11:00am in St. Paul’s United Church of Christ with Pastor Ed Dickerhoof officiating. Burial will be in Mapleton Cemetery. Friends and family will be received Thursday 5-8pm in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton and one hour before services on Friday at the church (10-11am). In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Paul’s United Church of Christ at 306 W. Church St., East Canton, OH 44730.
