Stella B. Bednarczyk
Stella B. Bednarczyk, age 88, of Canton, passed away Sunday January 11, 2009 in the Laurels of Massillon. She was born October 19, 1920 in Weirton, WV. to the late Joseph and Mary Kostka. Stella was a Canton area resident most of her life and was formerly employed by Sugardale Meats and Glotone Cleaners. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church where she was a member of the Rosary/Altar Society. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond A. Bednarczyk in 1999 to whom she was married 56 years; one brother, Anthony Kostka; two sisters, Catherine Meola and Genowefa Kostka; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Bednarczyk; one granddaughter, Angela Rae Bednarczyk; one great granddaughter, Faith Rae Roach. She is survived by one son, Raymond J. Bednarczyk of Canton; two granddaughters and their spouses, Tammy and Dave Vanderwall of Canton, Tracie and David Atkinson of Marion, OH; three great grandchildren, Amanda (Dean) Roach, Ashley and Alicia Atkinson; two great-great granddaughters, Isabella and Adrianna Roach; two step-great grandchildren, Autumn and Alex Vanderwall; one step-great great grandson, Parker; one brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Josie Kostka of East Canton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday January 16, 2009 at 10:00am in All Saints Catholic Church with Fr. Tom Bishop as celebrant. Internment in Calvary Cemetery. The procession will form at the church on Friday. The family would like to thank the nurses and aids at station 200 at the Laurels of Massillon for their personal care of Stella.
