Sophie C. Wojtaszek, age 91, of Canton died Tuesday, December 19, 2006 in St. Joseph Care Center following an extended illness. Born April 13, 1915 in Passaic, NJ. to the late Joseph and Mary K. (Solomon) Wojtaszek. She was a life resident of Canton and retired from the Timken Company after 44 ½ years of service. Sophie was a member of All Saints Catholic Church where she was active with the Altar Rosary Society, Miraculous Medal Society, choir and the Polish-American Citizens Club. Preceded in death by one brother, Stanley Joseph Wojtaszek. Survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Robert Criswell of Canton; one brother, Anthony Wojtaszek of the home; two nephews and spouses, Mark and Kris Criswell of Canton, Joseph S. and Lisa Wojtaszek of Canton; several great nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, December 22, 2006 at 1:00 pm in All Saints Catholic Church with Fr. Tom Bishop as celebrant. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 6 - 8 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave.
