Shirley I. Miller
Age 81, of East Sparta, passed away Wednesday January 8, 2014 in her home following a brief illness, surrounded by her family. She was born April 14, 1932 in Canton to the late Wilbur F. and Mildred (Baker) Morris. Shirley was a life resident of East Sparta and a 1951 graduate of Canton South High School. She was an active member of Moreland Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Jeffery A. Miller in 2010; one sister, Jean Morris. She is survived by her husband, Robert C. "Red" Miller to whom she was married 61 years; four children and their spouses, Rick and Pamela Miller of Martinsville, IN, Lori and David Mehler of East Sparta, Candi and Roger Durbin of East Sparta, Rob and Patty Miller of Paris, OH; one daughter-in-law, Linda Miller of Columbus; six grandchildren, Sheri, Janette, Jeremy, Joshua, Tiffany and Brooke; six great-grandchildren, Morgan, Paige, Payton, Gracie, Lilly and Theolyn; one sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Homer Logan of Canal Fulton. A memorial service will be Monday January 13, 2014 at 5:30pm in Moreland Christian Church at 2850 Waynesburg Dr SE, Canton, OH 44707 with Gene Carter and her son, Rick Miller officiating.
