Shirley J. Johnson-Sines
Shirley J. Johnson-Sines, age 61, of Canton went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 6, 2007 in her home following an extended illness. Born October 17, 1945 in Newland, NC. to the late Lillard L. and Augusta (Cole) Johnson. She was a Canton area resident for the past 51 years and a 1964 graduate of McKinley High School. Retired from Massillon State Hospital with ten years of service. Preceded in death by two brothers, James and Hoyle Johnson; one sister, Nellie Vines. Survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy and Melissa Sines of Louisville, Curtis and Laurie Sines of Memphis, TN; one daughter and son-in-law, Trina and Troy Herbert of Canton; eight grandchildren, Ashley, Brandon, Joshua, Jacob, Chelsea, Emily, Allison and Coleman; one brother, Zebulon Johnson of Newland, NC; four sisters, Marie Cuthbertson of Newland, NC, Welda Woodie of Morganton, NC, Velma Oxendine of Johnson City, TN, Doris Taylor of Canton, OH; numerous nieces and nephews. Services and burial will be in Newland, NC. at the convience of the family. Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
