Shirley L. Hawthorne

Shirley L. Hawthorne, age 73, passed away on September 15, 2023.

She was born on May 3, 1950 in Canton, OH to Roger C. and Laura E. (Lindsey) Truex.

She graduated from East Canton High School.

Shirley was a homemaker and loved horses.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 53 years who she married in October of 1969 Glen Hawthorne; son, Brian (Kim) Hawthorne; daughter, Kelly (Tim) May; brothers, Gary (Charlotte) Truex and Donald (Tina) Truex; sister, Nancy Truex; grandchildren, Cody, Dale and Alie Hawthorne and Luke May.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Mark and Ronald Truex.

A private graveside service will be held.

Internment will be at Sunset Hills Burial Park.
