Shirley A. Colabella
Shirley A. Colabella, age 70, of Canton, died Friday May 26, 2006 in her home following a brief illness. She was born October 9, 1935 in Steubenville, OH to the late Jesse E. and Elmira Pauline (Crossley) Stricker. Shirley was a 1953 graduate of Wintersville High School and a Canton area resident for the past 21 years. She was the owner/operator of New Market Coffee Shop, Canton, for the past 21 years. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sherman D. Colabella; one brother, Jesse Sticker Jr.; and an infant son. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Charles J. and Deborah Clark of N. Canton; two grandsons, Ryan Murtland of Wintersville, OH, and Jesse Clark of N. Canton; one great granddaughter, Arees Murtland; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Laura and Lawrence L. Thompson Jr. of Sarasota, FL., Delores and William Houser of Wintersville, OH; one brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Cynthia Stricker of Atlanta, GA; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Tuesday 5-8 pm in Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. Graveside services will be Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at 10:00am in Union Cemetery, Steubenville, OH, with Terry Bailey officiating.
