Sheryl L. Walter
Age 60, of Canton passed away Sunday, September 10, 2017 unexpectedly in Aultman Hospital. Born October 21, 1956 in Canton, Ohio to Wendell and Lenora (Moncrief) Walter. She was a life resident of Canton and wintered in Naples, Fl. Sheryl retired from Fairless Local Schools where she was an educator for 34 years. She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church. Sheryl volunteered with the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Rail Road’s Polar Express where she served as an elf. Preceded in death by her father, Wendell Walter. She is survived by her mother, Lenora Walter; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Debbie Stephens, Kathy and Cecil Secrest, Lorie and John Sasin; six nephews, Josh (Jamie Smialek) Stephens, Matthew (Danielle) Stephens, Adam (Christine) Rosenberger, Travis (Danielle) Secrest, Daren (Julie) Rosenberger, Troy (Kellie) Secrest; four nieces; 14 great nieces and nephews; many other family members. Funeral services will be Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017 at 11:00 am in Otterbein United Methodist Church, 6025 Shepler Church Rd, Navarre, OH. 44662, with Rev. Ralph R. Krall officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call Wednesday from 5-8 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church from 10:00 – 11:00 am.
