Sherman E. Hess Sr.
Age 60, of Massillon, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday November 20, 2013 in Affinity Medical Center. He was born November 12, 1953 in Canton Township to the late Raymond and Lois (Wade) Hess. He was a 1973 graduate of Marlington High School. Sherman was an avid Cleveland Indians and Browns sports fan; he truly enjoyed writing and a good TV program. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Raymond Hess; one nephew, Don Williams. He is survived by his wife, Susan M. (Holibaugh) to whom he was married 39 years; four children, Cassandra Young of Louisville, Sherman E. Hess Jr. of Canton, Olivia Johanning of Canton, Rhuana and Mark Gibbs of Canton; three grandchildren, Jaazaniah, Lois and Jeshurun; two sisters, Etta Strojek of Mansfield, Estella Williams of Florida. In keeping with Sherman's wishes he was cremated, friends may call Monday November 25, 2013 from 2-4pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home. There will be no other services.
