Sherman L. Franklin Sr.
Age 85, of Canton, passed away Wednesday March 2, 2016. He was born March 16, 1930 in Canton to the late Robert L. and Edna (Hall) Franklin. Sherman was a graduate of Canton South High School and a U.S. Navy veteran. He retired from Quaker State Oil and was formerly employed by R.E. Slutz Trucking. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia M. Franklin in 1996; one son, John Franklin; one grandson; two brothers, Earl and Robert Franklin; one sister, Vernelle Eversole. Sherman is survived by four children, Sherman L. Franklin Jr., Dan C. (Tiffany) Franklin, Mark W. (Mary) Franklin and Rose L. Kinser; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; one brother, Don Franklin; one sister, Carolyn Littlefield. Funeral services will be Monday March 7, 2016 at 1:30pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home. Friends will be received one hour before services on Monday (12:30-1:30pm).
