Sharon (Smith) Wick
Sharon Louise Smith Wick, age 68, of Bath, OH. passed away Saturday morning from cancer at the Hospice Care Center in Akron with family by her side. She was born January 22, 1943, in Canton to the late William Dean and Beulah(Deckard) Smith. She was a 1960 graduate of Canton South High School. Sharon spent her career working in the horse industry having held the positions of Buyer, Sales Manager, and Vice President of Sales throughout her successful career. She had recently retired from Schneider Saddlery in Chagrin Falls. An avid animal lover, she enjoyed spending time with her pets and gardening in her spare time.
In addition to her parents, Sharon is preceded in death by an infant brother, Norman Dean and many aunts and uncles. She is survived by her aunt, Bernice O'Wesney of Canton, and her many cousins, friends, and beloved pets. Funeral services will be Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011 at 11:00 am in the Chapel at North Lawn Cemetery, 4927 Cleveland Ave. NW., Canton, OH. 44709, with Rev. Wendy Bausman officiating. Inurnment in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the chapel from 10-11 am. In lieu of flowers, Sharon has requested donations be made to the Hospice of Visiting Nurse Services, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron, OH. 44333.
