Sara Delma Ward
Age 97, of Canton, passed away Wednesday October 12, 2016 in Aultman Hospital. She was born August 29, 1919 in Monroe County, OH to the late Howard and Melissa (Hickenbotham) Moffett. Sara was a Canton area resident most of her life and a member of the Southwest Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond A. Ward in 2008; one son, Gary Lee Ward in 1955; son-in-law, Albert John Shaffer in 2011; one brother, Fred Moffett; two sisters, Iva Marty and Lorain Marshall. She is survived by one daughter, Karen Shaffer; two sons and daughters-in-law, James A. and Ginny Ward, Steven and Barb Ward; four grandchildren, Amy Beth (Michael) Davis, Jennifer Shaffer, Chris (Gretchen) Shaffer, Stefanie Rae (Joe) Workman; six great-grandchildren, Matthew, Nathan, Megan, Jennifer, Landrie and Logan; one brother, Howard Moffett; one sister, Fern Dimit. Funeral services will be Monday October 17, 2016 at 2:00pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with David Ray officiating. Burial will be in Eden Cemetery.
