S. Robert Shepler
Age 94, of Louisville, passed away Monday November 20, 2017 in Green Meadows Wellness Center. He was born October 15, 1923 in Coshocton, OH to the late Samuel C. and Florence (Sowers) Shepler. Robert was a U.S. Army WWII veteran where he served with the 82nd Airborne as a paratrooper and awarded a Purple Heart. He retired from the State of Ohio as an elevator inspector. Robert was a member of the Canton Baptist Temple where he was active with the Faith Builders Sunday school class; life member of DAV chapter #50. Robert is preceded in death by one daughter, Susan Kennedy; three brothers and four sisters. He is survived by his wife, L. June Shepler to whom he was married 72 years; one daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and William Bonam of East Canton; son-in-law, Dave Kennedy of Louisville; two grandchildren, Jennifer (Todd) Brahler and Joshua (Johanna) Pizor; three great-grandchildren, Cecilia, Adelise and Eliana.
