Ruth E. Schaefer
Age 83, of Canton, passed away Thursday June 14, 2012 in Aultman Hospital. She was born September 25, 1928 in New Castle, PA to the late Leroy and Prudence B. (Minner) Mosley. Ruth was a Canton area resident most of her life and a member of the former St. Paul's Catholic Church, Canton where she was active in the Alter/Rosary Society and a faithful Bingo supporter. She was co-owner/operator of the former Anthony Dry Cleaners for 30 years and was employed by Laubacher Upholstery. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Schaefer in 2000; one grandson, Brian Stieber; three brothers, Leroy, John and Donald Mosley. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Yvonne Schaefer of East Canton, Randy and Holly Schaefer of North Canton, Mike and Carol Schaefer of Louisville; one daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Ken McCreight of East Canton; four grandchildren, Kelly (Kreg) Finefrock, Eric, Nicole and Michele Schaefer; two great-grandchildren, Kade and Khloe Finefrock; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Eugene Mosley of Cleveland, OH, Paul and Beverly Mosley of Louisville; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, the Vince Lemmo family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday June 18, 2012 at 9:00am in St Anthony/All Saints Catholic Parish with Rev. Fr. Thomas Bishop as celebrant. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 2-4pm in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to NAMI of Stark County at 800 Market Ave N., Canton, OH 44702.
