Ruth A. Norris
Age 80, of Canton, went to her eternal heavenly home Wednesday June 21, 2017. She was born October 13, 1936 in Canton to the late Maurice and Dorothy (Weidleman) Weaver. Ruth retired from Value City Department Store in 2005 after 16 years of service and was formerly employed by Westgate Restaurant and Lounge. She was a member of St. Mary/St. Benedict Catholic Parish. Ruth loved cooking, garage sales, puzzles, traveling, sprint car races and above all, she dedicated her life to raising and caring for her family. She is preceded in death by one son, Keith Norris; two brothers, Doyle and Tom Weaver. Ruth is survived by two daughters, Sharon (Paul) Smith and Marla (Todd) Madison; two sons, Eric (Tracy) Norris and Kevin (Kris) Norris; three grandchildren, Keith, Stephanie and Heather; three great-grandchildren, Kalon, Alaina and Owen; two sisters, Helen Engel and Mary Jane Weaver; numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday June 26, 2017 at 1:30pm in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Canton with Fr. Benson Okpara as celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends will be received Sunday 7-9pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 1602 Market S., Canton, OH 44707.
