Ruth E. Layton
Age 94 of Canton, passed away Friday February 10, 2012 in the Hospitality House. She was born February 21, 1917 in Canton to the late Joseph and Mary (Decker) Killian. Ruth was a life resident of the Canton area and retired from Aultman Hospital after several years of service. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Canton. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Layton in 2002; one son, John Bunton; one sister, Loretta Quilligan; one brother, Jacob Killian. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Gloria Bunton of Franktown, CO; one daughter and son-in-law, Ruth Ann "Ditter" and Louis Johnson of Massillon; 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. A private family service will conducted in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. There will be no public services.
